If you enjoy meeting people from around the world, can clean, have an interest in juggling/circus skills and can stay for at least two weeks (and up to a month or more) - Jugglers Rest could be the place for you.
The current owner Nikki, actually arrived as a guest, changed into a woofer (woofer stands for willing worker on organic farms) and then became manager before buying the place!
We offer free accommodation, laundry and use of all our wonderful juggling toys and facilities in exchange for a smiling face, initiative, a positive can-do attitutude and at least three hours work a day.
The majority of the work is done from 10am to 1pm, cleaning the hostel, making beds and laundry. Other jobs might include taking bookings, gardening, basic property maintenance, computer work (Nikki's nemesis) and sharing skills in juggling/poi/staff etc.
Basically the more you put in the more you get out. Let us know your special skills.

Previous woofers have further developed their juggling skills, inspired by their surroundings (and various bribes). Each woofer brings with them their unique quality adding to the Jugglers Rest atmosphere in a positive way.
In the past woofers have learned to ride a unicycle & juggle 3 balls simultaneously (bribed with chocolate brownies), further developed their juggling skills (moving from juggling 3 balls to 4, 5 balls to 6 etc), used fire toys for the 1st time (virgin burners), learned to fire eat, walk on a slackline, used power tools, painted, picked grapes, made delicious cakes - you name it they've tried it!
The work here is varied and fun, and let's be honest - often it's play!
You will need to be able to stay for a minimum of two weeks. All work is unpaid.
